Dr Ernest Mavuso - Providing friendly and cutting edge gynaecological services.

Dr Ernest Mavuso is a New Zealand trained  gynaecologist. He has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Middlemore Hospital since 2013.

Ernest is available to assess and treat patients with various gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, benign cysts and tumours, pain conditions such as endometriosis,  smear and colposcopy treatments among others. His special interest is minimal access surgery( endoscopy) options  offering advanced procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomies where required.

Having spent a year as a Fellow in endoscopy and several short courses in NZ , Australia , Canada and Jerusalem , he is now part of the core team of  minimal access specialists at Middlemore Hospital Womens Health Service.

Ernest enjoys teaching specialist trainees of RANZCOG  and is part of practice guidelines and Womens Health IT service development.

He is a novice golfer and competent volleyball player. He lives with his wife  and three children . He has a flourishing garden in his backyard  with more than 7 veges at a time!
