Dr Sekra is a New Zealand trained gastroenterologist who grew up in India and speaks Hindi and Russian. Anurag attended medical school in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and completed his basic and advanced training in general medicine in Hamilton, Waikato. Following this he finished his training in gastroenterology in Auckland. Anurag has a broad range of experience in all aspects of gastroenterology, with a particular interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, newer endoscopic imaging techniques like chromoendoscopy and virtual chromoendoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound.
